Customers please note:
- Whilst these are 1157/BAY15D (dual
pin bayonet fitting) found in most applications for 12V
automotive lighting, it is important to note that they shouldnt actually replace the standard types seen lower on the page. They make a great accessory brake light but by law your primary brake lights shouldn't flash OK?
- LEDs spin in a
circle in tail light mode- when brakes are applied the
lights start flashing and continue to do so.

August 2010 Release Bulbs
- 13 x 3 Chip Hi-Power SMD LEDs = 39 diodes used.
- Extremly bright for cars with highly reflective brake lamp housing - 10 LEDs shine sideways and 3 LEDs shine directly back.
- These LED tail/brake light replacement bulbs fit every BAY15D series dual pin bayonet fitting found in 12V automotive lighting.
For Motorcycles
Generally - we keep the White units for motorcycles only.
For cars RED LED behind Red lenses is best.
Motorcycles usually have a clear lens underneath for the registration plate and this makes it critical to use White.

We use 3 Chips with 6 layers in these units giving a total of 18 diodes.
Thermally these 6 Chip units will handle all conditions with the onboard heatsink and the spacing we've given them.
Using 6 layers gives intense light, with all the light coming from the end of the bulb we recommend these for non-reflective type lenses.
For reflective lenses please use the 13x3Chip units seen above.
