12 LED headlamp:
This has been our most reliable unit now for over 3 years.
It has shown very good durability results in testing and the LEDs used are the brightest we currently have available at around 12000mcd each LED.
The swivel function is almost bulletproof compared to earlier models and the strap needs placing over a soccer ball when you first get it to loosen it up a little.
Earlier models had loose straps and we are using a stronger type now.

1w Luxeon and 3 LED headlamp.
Has the dual function 1w/3*LED combo - the 1w unit will penetrate a clear 50m beam into darkness for up to 6hrs on one set of 3xAA alkaline batteries.
When switched to the 3*LED (around 10000mcd) setting you'll achieve full light for around 30-40hours - more as we ran out of patience waiting for it to run down.

UV flashlight FAQ

Differences between the 2 UV flashlights - visible or non-visible?
Basically the visible version is used for all the normal UV flashlight requirements
Everything from checking credit cards to checking for golf balls in the bush you can do with this basic unit.
With the non-visible version however you would use this eg. for faint detection of fungus or for very faint air conditioning leaks as there is no visible purple to get in the way.

LED Light bar SMD Cool White 8~30vDC (300mm and 600mm)

2009 Lightbar update:.
Our new 36 SMD lightbar looks exactly like a fluoro of the same length.
Using less power and giving same angle of light - 180°

First produced April/ May 2009 the 300mm version is now available in the 18xSMD setup.

"Can I use this lightbar outdoors?"

You'll need to do two things:

Put a shroud over it to protect it from sunlight.
The plastic is a hardened acrylic and is UV resistant.
They're fairly impact resistant and will take a fair knock but we recommend you permanently shade them from the sun.

For wet or very humid conditions, sealing of the lightbar is essential.
Our trials have shown that moisture will appear inside the bar if not sealed in dry conditions.
Pick a dry day and put some silicone just around the end joins.
The wire assembly is waterproof but those tube ends need sealing for use in watery conditions.

The 8~30vDC operating range (for the cool white) is great for those folk who regularly run their solar battery down to near flat.
This light will operate without dimming whilst the rest of your lights go down to candle brightness.
It gives you the time to go start your generator.....
